Chapter 9-8 Driving Records/Driving History Driving Records/Driving History A driving record is a record of an operator's past ten years of driving history. This record lists three types of events that can cause loss of driving privileges: * Civil motor vehicle infractions * Criminal violations * Motor vehicle accidents where the customer is found to be more than 50 percent at fault. There are two type of driving records; certified and uncertified. * A Certified (True and Attested) driving record can be used for official purposes. It is on official Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) letterhead and has a validation stamp on it. * An Uncertified (Unattested) driving record can be used for information purposes. It contains all of your driving record data, but is not in the same format as a True & Attested Driving Record and does not have a validation stamp on it. A driving history record is a snapshot of an operator's entire driver license life cycle and interaction with the RMV. The driving history record includes a listing of all transactions, suspensions and citations associated with an operator. 06/16 9:113
