Chapter 9-0 Suspension - Non-Motor Vehicle Non-Motor Vehicle Suspensions Non-payment of Child Support Under M.G.L. Ch. 90, s. 22(g), if the Registry of Motor Vehicles has received notification from the Department of Revenue (DOR) that you have failed to pay child support, your license or right to operate will be suspended until you have paid your outstanding obligations and have obtained a Compliance Letter from the DOR Child Support Unit. The client must contact the DOR Directly at 617-660-1234 or 800-332-2733 if calling from outside the 617 area code. The reinstatement process for non-payment of child support is done entirely by the DOR. If the client has suspensions for other offenses, these must be handled at a full service branch. Failure to Register as a Sex Offender Under M.G.L. Ch. 90, s. 22(j) if the RMV has received notification from the Sex Offender Registry Board (SORB) that your client was required to register as a sex offender, but failed to do so, their license or right to operate will be suspended indefinitely until they have complied with the law. NOTE: Offenders must register in the city where the offense occurred, the city where they live and the city where they work.
